Kinhaven Senior Session Basic Information

Age Range

The Kinhaven senior session accepts 90 students who are no younger than 13 and who are not past their first summer after having graduated from high school, regardless of age.

Dates

The 2008 senior session will run for the six weeks from June 20 - August 3, 2008. Students are accepted for the entire time only.

Tuition

Tuition is $5,900.

Financial Aid

Kinhaven accepts qualified students on a need-blind basis to the extent possible. Each year money is allocated to use for financial aid based soley on need. Those funds come from foundations, individual donors and other sources.

Accordingly, financial aid is available to qualified students who cannot pay Kinhaven's full tuition. If you would like to attend Kinhaven but are concerned about the tuition, we invite you to apply for financial aid. please contact the Bethlehem office with any questions or for more information.

How and When to Apply

To apply to Kinhaven, you must submit to the admission office (address below) a completed application and either include an audition tape, or arrange for a personal audition. Kinhaven begins accepting applications and tapes after January 1. Numbers of openings are established by February 25th. Applications are accepted until each class is filled—which usually occurs by the end of March. We are happy to supply information about openings at any time.

Audition Recordings

On your audition recording, you should record 5-10 minutes of a representative work of your chosing. Both audio and video recordings are welcome. Please send your recording (along with your application) in a padded envelope. recordings will not be returned.

Getting an Application

The application can be found in the Kinhaven Music School brochure. The easiest way to get a brochure is to request one online. You can also call the admissions office at (610) 868-9200; email the admissions office; or write to the admissions address below. The application form is also available online; simply fill the application form out and print it using your browser's print command.
